As humans, the pursuit of change and progress is something that is innate to every one of us. Like it or not, there will always be things in life that we hope could be a little different, a little better in the way that daily situations & events turn out. It could be in the way we think, speak, or the way we handle everything from our finances to our relationships with others. We seek to become better -- and we should. As we strive to continuously exceed our potential, we rise above all previous versions of ourselves and grow stronger. In this issue, we look at some ways in which we can embrace a better self and an even better future. | The Relentless Pursuit of Improvement It is no secret that I believe growth is the only guarantee that tomorrow will be better. It is no mystery that I think personal growth is the steppingstone to success for any leader. If you or I want to stay in front of the curve and lead others, then we must do the work that keeps us out front. We must continually improve. But as I seek to improve, there is one thing I know not to chase, and that is perfection. Perfection is a trap. Do not chase perfection as a leader - chase improvement. Make today better than yesterday so tomorrow can be better than today. The relentless pursuit of improvement will take any leader far. | I used to be jealous of other people's wealth and success - here is how I finally got over it Envy. It is an emotion that we all feel at some point. It is also a really dangerous emotion when we are trying to build a strong financial life. Envy is pure poison to a healthy financial life. After all, envy encourages us to make some pretty poor decisions. Like every other character flaw, however, envy can be overcome. You can directly reduce the envy itself, or you can at least reduce the bad choices you make as a result of envy. Here are seven strategies I use to cut envy out of my own life. | To reach beyond your limits by training your mind | Marisa Peer | TEDxKCS | Proudly Brought to You I seek to reach out to people who believe in safeguarding the interests of their loved ones. Finding someone I felt truly comfortable with was a challenge, but knowing Jerry from our time as colleagues, I knew he wasn’t the typical hard-sales type. And I was right—Jerry is everything you’d hope for in a financial advisor: sincere, patient, efficient, and genuinely invested in your best interests.
What sets Jerry apart is his willingness to listen. He takes the time to understand your needs, current profile, and existing policies before offering advice. There’s never any pressure—just thoughtful guidance based on what’s best for you, not what benefits him. His approach is long-term; he doesn’t just focus on immediate solutions but carefully plans for your future as well.
Beyond his sincerity, Jerry is also incredibly efficient. He ensures that everything is handled smoothly and promptly, making the entire process seamless and hassle-free. He puts in the hard work to find the best options, explains them clearly, and follows through with every detail—so you never feel lost or overwhelmed.
Through both his words and actions, it’s clear that Jerry works with integrity. He puts in the effort to ensure you make informed decisions, always considering what truly benefits you. If you’re looking for a financial advisor who prioritizes your well-being, offers sound advice, and gets things done efficiently, Jerry is the one to trust. | | | Vicky Huang (Year 1 AIA FSC, Year 1 NUS undergraduate) I first met Jerry in 2019 when I was curious about the financial industry and is looking for a good opportunity to join. I have talked to a few planners before eventually deciding to join Jerry’s team. One of the main reasons is that he gave me a very clear and objective view of the industry and what to expect etc. and he was very genuine in his sharing. Now, moving forward, Jerry is my mentor and he has inspired me to be a more hardworking individual. He has provided me with guidance in my journey as a student financial planner and he is always there to listen, help and give feedback even though he is very busy. Looking forward to learn more from Jerry! | | | Shi Hua (MOE Educator) I've known Jerry for more than a decade. From ex colleagues to friends, he is someone whom one can count on whenever you need advice. To me and my family, he is not just a financial advisor or your typical agent, he is a friend who is always ready to render his help and of course his expertise in his field of profession to make sure that me and my family are well taken care of in our health protection as well as our financial investments. One thing that sets him apart is that no doubts or worries that I have is ever too trivial for him. To him, what ever matters to us, matters to him and he will try his very best to help! So if u ever need a trustworthy and reliable advisor, Jerry is the man! | | | Hon Van (Accountant, Penta-Chem Services) We first knew Jerry and his team from 2018, they are not only our insurance advisor but also became our friends.
When we have any questions or need any help from them, they will respond to us very quickly, answering all our queries. At the first meetup, my husband and I trust him because of his expertise, his patience and his friendly nature. When any friend ask me about any insurance agent, I am very confident to introduce them to Jerry and his team.
Thank you Jerry and your team for everything. :) | | | Matthew (MOE Educator) & Rebecca (Full-time tutor) Jerry was my (Rebecca) classmate in university and has always come across as a warm and helpful friend.
Today, also as our financial advisor, he continues to give timely advice and a listening ear to our concerns. There were instances where we consulted him and his unassuming nature and objective perspective encouraged us greatly in our decision making process.
We are thankful that our paths have crossed and we would not hesitate to recommend him to family and friends who are in search of a trusted and reliable advisor.
Thumbs up for Jerry! | | | Royden Lim (Year 2 AIA FSC, Year 2 SUSS Undergraduate) Maybe I should start by sharing how I met Jerry before I joined him as an FSC. Jerry has been with my family and our family business for as long as I can remember. He has literally seen me grow up through my various stages of life. But it took an unfortunate series of events that really led me to realise the importance of financial planning and insurance, and got me thinking about how to better manage my own. So who better to find than Jerry? And ever since then, things have gotten for the better. To have a mentor that actively makes time for his team is a difficult find - not to mention that Jerry himself is extremely busy. From weekly training sessions to suddenly having to meet someone the next day, Jerry has always put in his 110% effort in making sure that we are constantly learning. It doesn’t matter whether it’s 11 am or 11 pm, you can always contact him. Couldn’t ask for more! | | | | |
