There's a man in Singapore, that every time he concludes a business deal, he would go buy a plant and plant it somewhere. It's a simple way of giving back. He was also able to disengage and be with himself while doing something meaningful, albeit how simple it was. In this issue are some more examples of such life's lesson that we can benefit from. All we need, is to just take some time, slow down and breathe in the fresh air.

Royden Lim (Year 2 AIA FSC, Year 2 SUSS Undergraduate)

Maybe I should start by sharing how I met Jerry before I joined him as an FSC. Jerry has been with my family and our family business for as long as I can remember. He has literally seen me grow up through my various stages of life. But it took an unfortunate series of events that really led me to realise the importance of financial planning and insurance, and got me thinking about how to better manage my own. So who better to find than Jerry? And ever since then, things have gotten for the better. To have a mentor that actively makes time for his team is a difficult find - not to mention that Jerry himself is extremely busy. From weekly training sessions to suddenly having to meet someone the next day, Jerry has always put in his 110% effort in making sure that we are constantly learning. It doesn’t matter whether it’s 11 am or 11 pm, you can always contact him. Couldn’t ask for more!

Hong Yang (Year 6 AIA FSC)

Ever since I joined Jerry back then in Oct 2017, he has always been a role model that I looked up to in all aspect. Other than being a leader and a father of 3 girls, he is in the Product Committee & ALMA. On top of all these, he is also a producer in AIA. Despite having to handle so many things, he never once turned down his mentees and FSCs that approached him for help. Instead of spoon-feeding his consultants with direct answer, he would guide the consultants by giving them “homework” to do then learn from it. With all the stuffs that he is currently taking on, I am really in awe with his time management, self discipline and mental strength. To me, Jerry defines “Extraordinary”. “The difference between Ordinary & Extraordinary is that little extra.”

Danial Loke (Year 3 AIA FSC, Year 3 SUSS Undergraduate)

Jerry is a leader that leads by example. Not only is he generous with the knowledge that he possesses, his team is his priority which is really assuring. When we need guidance during JFW, he never fails to be there.

Planning for your family and future is important, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have worked with Jerry as my financial advisor. Finding someone I felt truly comfortable with was a challenge, but knowing Jerry from our time as colleagues, I knew he wasn’t the typical hard-sales type. And I was right—Jerry is everything you’d hope for in a financial advisor: sincere, patient, efficient, and genuinely invested in your best interests. What sets Jerry apart is his willingness to listen. He takes the time to understand your needs, current profile, and existing policies before offering advice. There’s never any pressure—just thoughtful guidance based on what’s best for you, not what benefits him. His approach is long-term; he doesn’t just focus on immediate solutions but carefully plans for your future as well. Beyond his sincerity, Jerry is also incredibly efficient. He ensures that everything is handled smoothly and promptly, making the entire process seamless and hassle-free. He puts in the hard work to find the best options, explains them clearly, and follows through with every detail—so you never feel lost or overwhelmed. Through both his words and actions, it’s clear that Jerry works with integrity. He puts in the effort to ensure you make informed decisions, always considering what truly benefits you. If you’re looking for a financial advisor who prioritizes your well-being, offers sound advice, and gets things done efficiently, Jerry is the one to trust.

Yin Peng (Lazada, Vice President)

I was introduced to Jerry by his wife 8 years ago. Back then, I was quite skeptical about financial advisor. However Jerry won me over with his professionalism, dedication and expertise. Today, Jerry is my go-to person for all sorts of issues. He is a very warm and caring person. He had helped me solve / advise me on issues where I could not make up my mind or I have doubts on. I am so glad that our path crossed and I am very grateful to have him as a friend! I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends who are in need of financial advice!

"I came to know Jerry through my brother Andy about 3 years ago. I remember I was intending to get some plans for my workers and seeking business advice too. Not long after, my missus and I have a daughter going to be enrolled into Primary School soon, we were looking for a savings plan that could aid her future education. Therein lies the connection between Jerry and my family. And my business too :) Jerry is not the first adviser I knew and before knowing him, like many I've had unpleasant experiences not only with the advisers themselves but certain plans that did not turn out ideal for us. So before I met Jerry, my brother knew my expectations and he wasted no time in referring him. Now if there is an overachiever(Jerry hope you don't mind my using of the term! I meant well) in the Financial Advisor/Insurance line, this man is the personification of the aforementioned term. I place good emphasis on details when it comes to my line of work and I serve my own customers with vigour and passion so in a way, I hope I was accorded a similar service. Jerry patiently fed me so much information that I became gleefully overweight in my head. I totally welcomed that with joy. He explains the plans and dispenses advice not from a personal profitability POV but with my interests at heart. To cut the long story short, I was immensely impressed by his passion, his neverending thirst for knowledge and not least his love and care for his clients. I do not have many people I can readily turn to for advice on almost anything. Jerry is definitely in that list"
