Pearl Lim (AIA MDRT qualifer)

I became a mother in 2012 and i made many new mummy friends through Facebook. At that time i was looking for an insurance agent to get some plans for my newborn. That was when I was introduced to Jerry in 2013 by one of the mummies, Irene. I got some plans for my son, followed by myself and my other family members as we feel that Jerry is a very knowledgeable and responsible person. Even though he is very busy with work, he would definitely meet in person to process claims or give financial advice. At that time, I was a relationship manager handing corporate accounts in a bank. He asked if I was interested to become a financial planner and join him in his mission to save more lives and help people in financial planning. I rejected him straight away as I have insecurities about financial stability as a self employed. It was after the birth of my second child that I started having problems striking a balance between family and work. Subsequently, I left my job at the bank and joined his team in early 2017. Since then, I never looked back... even though my first 2 years were tough. I am enjoying my job now! Jerry continues to handle some of my insurance plans, hence, he is now my planner, my friend, my mentor and also my boss. He gives me a lot of freedom in the way I run my business and he will review my performance regularly and update me on my progress for various campaigns and awards and motivate me to achieve more. Because of his constant support in this career, I am thankful that I was able to achieve MDRT this year despite the pandemic situation.

I first met Jerry in 2019 when I was curious about the financial industry and is looking for a good opportunity to join. I have talked to a few planners before eventually deciding to join Jerry’s team. One of the main reasons is that he gave me a very clear and objective view of the industry and what to expect etc. and he was very genuine in his sharing. Now, moving forward, Jerry is my mentor and he has inspired me to be a more hardworking individual. He has provided me with guidance in my journey as a student financial planner and he is always there to listen, help and give feedback even though he is very busy. I met Jerry in 2015 where we started out as work partners. Throughout the years of supporting him as a BDM, I know he is definitely someone whom a person can trust fully in terms of personal or financial advice. I then decided to leave my insurance needs in his hands. Despite his ever busy schedule, he ensured that I’m aware he’s always still around. We’ve got to admit this, there are insurance agents out there who can never be found. Jerry went the extra mile in providing advice when I decided to take a leap of faith to purchase my first property. Without this, I would have been so lost in planning my finances. All I can say is Jerry is definitely the man to go to. He’ll never fail or disappoint you. He’s a GEM and I really appreciate all that he had done for me.

Jerry has been my family’s trusted financial planner for many years. This all began when he aided my parents with their motor insurance. Unnecessary insurance costs were cut and it helped in the growth of my family business. Jerry, caring and knowledgeable, would always respond swiftly to the needs of my family. It is unfortunate that my family had to made a few claims over the years. However, with Jerry’s meticulous financial planning, all claims thus far were successful and it has greatly brought peace of mind to my family.
